The Royal Palaces Secrets and Scandals by Kate Williams

I was commissioned by Frances Lincoln Publishing to illustrate author Kate Williams’s book on the historic Royal Palaces. There are over 130 illustrations in the book so it was quite an undertaking!

I got to draw a really diverse range of subject matter here: from a Tudor animal menagerie in the Tower of London, to lush interiors; roguish characters and notable figures; treasures; as well as the facades of each Palace.
